2GoBelow is a collaboration between two underwater photographers, Canoë Segeren and Mark Doherty, which originated from our shared passion for the underwater world. Our work shows the synergy between this passion for the seas & oceans and our love for photography. More importantly, we strive to share the beauty that lies beneath the surface of the seas in the hope of creating a greater awareness of the fragile and threatened marine eco-system and its’ inhabitants.
Our photography intends to simply reflect the underwater art created by nature itself, highlighting the stunning colors, shapes and textures of the many known and unknown creatures from the world below the water surface. Careful observation of details that tend to get overlooked, combined with a great deal of curiosity and a lot of time spent in the water with our cameras have led to the collection of images that you find on this website today. The galleries are constantly updated with new work, as no day in the water is the same and always generates new and exciting images.
We started our photographic careers using 35mm film and we have upgraded our equipment over the years to keep up with the ever-changing digital technology. Our current equipment consists of Nikon Digital SLR cameras housed by Hugyfot, with Inon Z-240 strobes to light the way.
Based in Sharm El Sheikh on the shores of the Red Sea in Egypt, we have easy access to rich colourful tropical reefs set in crystal clear water, idyllic beach coastlines, cobalt blue skies with turquoise seas and rugged desert and mountain landscapes. Living close to these locations makes us instantly available for photographic assignments and in a day and age where travel costs are substantial, we offer a cost effective option for your photographic needs.
