We have all seen Jaws then survived the “fear” of a shark attack. I remember summer family day trips down to Worthing-on-Sea, overly excited about the prospect of building a sand castle but with a constant re-run of the most gory scenes from Jaws going through my head. Every once in a while some wise crack would shout out SHARK!!!!! Which would be followed by a tidal wave of panic.
This hysteria and fear of sharks was created in Hollywood some 25 years ago and still runs strong, I guess this proves the powerful hold that the media has over us and the mental conditioning that can be achieved on mass (but that’s a whole different story).
Here is the question:
How many people do you know that have survived a shark attack?
Probably zero, squit, nada nothing. Why? Because shark attacks are so rare in the grand scheme of things. Watch Sharkwater , This documentary movie is a real mind changer on the subject of sharks.
Are we not entering an era where we should be thinking about re-conditioning our minds and find out the truth for ourselves? Isn’t it time to escape from society’s fears? Isn’t it time to re think the Shark?

Dear Mark
If I were a shark and saw you in the water, I would be very scared!
